The final meeting of the project for establishment of Iraqi National Oil Spill Contingency Plan (NOSCP) was held in Basra, the southern city of Iraq, in October 2017. The project is funded by Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) in order to develop the comprehensive oil spill response scheme, with technical support of JOE. JOE’s name and address are shown on them but they are not from the Company; they have no relation with JOE.
If you receive any of them, we strongly recommend that you delete such e-mails immediately without clicking on any links, so that you can protect yourself against identity theft, fraud and any viruses.

JOE has launched the JICA-funded technical cooperation project*1), Project for Establishment of National Oil Spill Contingency Plan (NOSCP) in Iraq. The project aims to draft the NOSCP and to enhance the operational capabilities of the relevant ministries and companies.
The 1st Study Meeting was held on September 2016 in Amman, Jordan. Under the MEMAC*2) corporation, training courses for enhancing Iraqi cadres’/engineers’ capabilities have also been convened, which is put on its website.

*2) MEMAC, Marine Emergency Mutual Aid Center, a regional intergovernmental organization concerns with marine pollution in the Gulf area.
