JOGMEC has been conducting various training courses for junior and senior engineers in Japan in order to improve technical capability of engineers who engage in oil and gas development, production, and operation.
In 2015, in this regard, JOE conducted a 5 days training course titled “Oil Field Facility Operation Technology” at the Technical Research Center (TRC) of JOGMEC for engineers from JOGMEC and energy related companies in Japan.
The course consists of comprehensive lectures and workshops for oil field facility operation technology to be considered in oil & gas production projects.
JOGMEC was satisfied with the quality of the lecture materials and lecturing technique, and the training course JOE provided was highly evaluated by trainees.
This training course covers whole area of oil field facility operation technology as listed below.
・Overview of oil field production system
・Production facilities for onshore and offshore fields
・Characteristics of produced fluids (oil, gas, water)
・Problems to be solved in processing produced fluids
・Oil, gas, and water treatment technologies
・Control system
・Utility and related facilities for oil production
・Design of oil, gas, and water treatment facilities
・Route selection and design of pipeline
・Process design of pipeline and flow assurance
・Oil and gas transfer facilities on pipeline system
・Pipeline flow calculation for single and multiphase flow
