This training program was conducted by Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) and supported by JOE for the engineers of Ugandans in order to transfer the engineering technique and know-how of designing pipeline and loading facilities in oil and gas production area. This project was implemented by Information Center for Petroleum Exploration and Production (ICEP) which was granted subsidies from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

Prior to this project, in 2011 to 2012, a feasibility study of pipeline project around the east Africa has been conducted by TTC and JOE through the assistance of the METI.
This particular program was based on the result of that feasibility study which suggested to conduct the practical training. In addition, this project also provided the Ugandan engineer’s the opportunity to site visits of oil refineries and tank yards in Japan.
JOE provided our special experience and wide ranging knowledge so as to meet the expectations from our customers who traveled halfway the globe for this purpose and it is our source of pride that this training project was completed successfully.
